WHAT IS A CAKE SMASH PHOTO SHOOT?

Cake smash photography is a fun and special way to celebrate your baby’s first (and sometimes second) birthday. Set in my cosy studio in Fleet Hampshire, with a choice of beautiful backdrops, outfits and props of your choice, your baby gets the opportunity to ‘smash’ a cake whilst I capture the moment.
 

Cake smashes are marvellous, messy and lots of fun. These are unique photos to mark a milestone birthday and ones that are guaranteed to make you smile forever!

WHERE DOES YOUR CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHY TAKE PLACE?
My cake smash sessions take place at my cosy home studio in Fleet, Hampshire.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT A CAKE SMASH SESSION?
Lots of fun! The session starts with some beautiful portrait shots before the cake fun begins. We then enjoy the messy cake shots and finish with lovely photos of your little one in a roll top vintage bath filled with lots of bubbles.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD A CAKE SMASH SESSION BE BOOKED?
It is important to book your cake smash session well ahead of the big day (c.4-6 weeks), especially if you’re planning on using the photos for invites or other birthday memorabilia. It allows ample time for photo selection and editing but also gives you extra space for any other products to be printed and returned in time.

I work with the amazing Fleet company Cakey Heaven who provide stunning bespoke, hand baked cakes for each cake smash session. Pre booking is essential to ensure that everything is ready for the day.

CAN YOU HELP ME SELECT A CAKE SMASH OUTFIT?
Absolutely! I have a wonderful wardrobe brimming with gorgeous outfits for you to choose from plus tutus and nappy and bow tie sets in all ranges of colours.

DO YOU SUPPLY THE CAKE?
I use the very talented local baker Cakey Heaven to provide bespoke handmade cakes for each cake smash session. Each cake is custom made to tie in with chosen theme and colour scheme and uses only high quality locally sourced ingredients.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES?
If you let me know of any dietary restrictions and allergies at the time of booking, I can ensure that the cake baked by Cakey Heaven is perfect for your little one. Alternatively, a watermelon smash is an alternative to celebrate your baby's birthday.

HOW LONG DOES A CAKE SMASH SESSION TAKE?
A cake smash session typically lasts about 1 hour.

HOW MUCH DOES A CAKE SMASH COST?
